Opportunity
As part of the City of Greenville’s efforts in recent years to improve the downtown pedestrian environment and implement recommendations of the Downtown Streetscape Master Plan the City of Greenville retained our firm to develop streetscape design documents for the rehabilitation of Falls Park Drive.
Solution
With guidance from City staff implementation included sidewalk widening, adding parallel parking on the street, and greatly enhancing streetscape lighting and landscaping. Unique design elements included the use of pervious pavers within the street right-of-way. Several blocks were included in the redevelopment project.
