Caine Halter YMCA Amphitheater

Opportunity

The Caine Halter YMCA initiated a campus master plan in 2014 to improve facilities. Our team and guidance committee developed consensus and outlined multiple future projects that would improve facility use, support ongoing programming, and improve water quality for storm water runoff generated on the YMCA campus.

Solution

The YMCA amphitheater, recently dedicated as the Spirit Center, serves as an outdoor classroom and gathering place for members, guests, and the general public. The amphitheater was the first project selected for implementation following completion of the 2014 campus master plan.

Darrohn Engineering assisted Greenfields Consortium and Earth Design with planning and civil engineering design and permitting of an eighty to one hundred seat amphitheater. The site design features ADA accessible sidewalks and native plantings.
